A lot of people want to meditate, but feel like they don’t have the time. If that’s you, I get it. I’ve been there. But meditation is worth making time for, because it has so many benefits. It can help relieve stress, improve focus and concentration, boost your immune system, and even help you sleep better.

So how can you fit it into a busy schedule? I am Zhang Xinyue, author of Create Abundance, and here are my top three tips for fitting meditation into a hectic schedule!

Set aside 10 minutes each day, first thing in the morning or right before bed.

Even if you start with just 5 minutes, these are both great times to practice mindfulness. Done before bed, you’ll likely drift off faster and enjoy a more peaceful night’s rest. And first thing in the morning, you’re setting yourself up for a more positive day.

Keep it simple by focusing on your breath or a mantra. There are heaps of techniques you can read more about in Create Abundance by Zhang Xinyue, but in the beginning, simple is better.

Don’t worry if your mind wanders. This is perfectly normal! Just gently bring your attention back to your breath or mantra whenever thoughts start to bubble up. Don’t try to fight them, just see them, and then release them. Always remember that meditation doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming to be effective. Just set aside 10 minutes each day, focus on your breath or a mantra, and don’t worry if your mind wanders. With a little practice, you’ll be able to fit meditation into even the busiest of schedules! For more tips on getting started, download a copy of Create Abundance by Zhang Xinyue today.
